I'm May Flam (pronounced "My").
I grew up in Israel and Dallas, Texas, where I was exposed to different norms and visions of parenting and domesticity. After ultimately settling in the New York City area as an adult, I became a women's career and leadership coach, helping countless women understand the source of their resentment and frustration at work, and take practical steps to build workplace fulfillment. During that time, I was privy to the difficulties women and primary parents face trying to manage their domestic responsibilities and their professional ones. But after I became a parent in 2018, I had even more access to women's private conversations about their exhaustion trying to manage the domestic load. In 2021, after seeing so many women leave the workforce during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I became a Certified Fair Play Facilitator so I can help women and primary parents find a more equitable way of managing their domestic and parenting responsibilities. Coaching is a creative process by which you and I, together, inspire you to maximize your potential at work. Unlike a psychologist, I do not diagnose mental health conditions or prescribe treatment. Unlike a career consultant or counselor, I do not tell you what you should do or how you should act at work. Instead, we have a collaborative process. |
